Responsible

Investment

We believe responsible investment is about more than financial returns, it’s about managing ESG risks and impacts to “do no harm”. Through a comprehensive ESG materiality assessment, we identify and prioritize the most important ESG and impact topics for our business, funds, and stakeholders. These insights guide our strategy and resource allocation, ensuring robust risk management and the ability to seize new opportunities.

Runnerstone maintains an IFC Performance Standard aligned Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) and Business Integrity Management System (BIMS) that outline how we identify, manage, monitor, and report environmental, social, and business integrity risks and impacts. These systems are aligned with global standards and legal requirements, supporting responsible practices across our operations and portfolio.

Investing

for Impact

Together with our investors, Runnerstone delivers investments that create real value and lasting positive environmental and socio-economic outcomes. Our “investing for impact” approach, or “doing good”, is backed by a Theory of Change that maps the path from our activities and inputs to the long-term impact we achieve, always in alignment with the SDGs.

We provide ongoing guidance and support to our portfolio companies, helping them unlock opportunities for impact and ensuring they effectively manage, monitor, measure, and report their initiatives.
